Miss Rees gave my daughter outstanding care following a traumatic oesophageal perforation. We arrived at GOSH from Oxford fully expecting major surgery but Miss Rees' decisive action and excellent liaison with the ENT and cardio-thoracic teams avoided this. I cannot thank her and the team at GOSH enough. Nothing was too much trouble and we were well informed, reassured and cared for throughout my daughter's stay. She even managed to make us both laugh during what was an incredibly stressful time! Her follow up appointment was today and again I cannot fault the professionalism, caring and friendly attitude that Miss Rees showed towards us.

Great care. Will spend time with you to make sure your happy. Will also not let you leave the hospital until your child is okay. One of the best doctors I have met.

Clare always listened and acted on our concerns and made sure that she popped in to see our son every day without fail.
Clare always made sure to ask if we had any questions about Ken's treatment and took the time to explain what was happening in as much detail as we wanted.

Miss Rees has been very caring and compassionate towards my son. Everything is explained so we as parents understand what is going to happen. She goes above and beyond to care for her patient. I am very happy with the care we have received.

I am a Consultant Paediatric Surgeon at Imperial College Healthcare Trust and Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, specialising in laparoscopic and gastrointestinal surgery. I was previously a Locum Consultant Specialist Neonatal and Paediatric Surgeon at Great Ormond Street Hospital and UCLH.
I am passionate about Quality Improvement and engaging patients in healthcare. My research interests include neonatal and paediatric surgery and I have published widely on several topics, especially necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC).
